a bit about us

why we are here

Our main aim is to offer support to all FTMs.  You may be early in considering your gender identity, living long term as a trans guy or simply exploring your options. You may be wondering about undertaking hormone treatment or surgery, and want to meet and speak with others on similar journeys.  We are here to support you in making and affirming your own choices.

If you want to access practical information, we are proud to offer leaflets and booklets covering topics such as surgery, hormones, NHS and private sector care, and a dynamic library of videos and books.

In the non-trans community we work closely with other LGBT groups to ensure that our issues and needs remain high profile, both in the London area and beyond. We work with lots of professional bodies and organizations including  the Greater London Authority, the Metropolitan Police, Press for Change, Galop, Pride London and the TUC.

how we are run

We are a membership organisation. Anyone can apply to join and major decisions about the group are voted on by the group. The day to day running of our organisation is facilitated by the management committee. We have several posts including secretary, treasurer, social events co-ordinator, newsletter editor and the chair(s). We always welcome members interested in being part of the co-ordination of FTM London - if you'd like to get involved please get in touch! (info@ftmlondon.org.uk)
