King workshops – ‘It didn’t
feel like acting; I just felt comfortable being myself’- Dianne Tor and Travis
Reeves did a good one. Ingo also does these. Connexions – offers advice and education, careers,
housing, money health and relationships for 13-19 year olds in the PACE offers free counselling – Alison is
excellent- and workshops, including one
for ‘loving men’ which is trans-friendly. Counselling is a series of 12 weekly
sessions. Current waiting time is approx. 8 weeks. They also offer a parenting
group for LGBT people who want to become parents, and family therapy. ELOP have a service ‘Antidote’ for queers/
lgbt people dealing with drug/ alcohol isues. They offer Accupuncture SOKA
GAKI Buddhism group was
helpful in developing inner calm and a sense of self. They are thinking of
setting up an LGBT group in the near future. GIRES run workshops for parents and Depend have
